Job Description
As a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care, you will be responsible for providing critical care and immediate medical attention to patients in urgent and emergency situations. You will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to stabilize patients, prioritize care, and ensure the highest quality of treatment. This role requires quick decision-making, adaptability, and a strong ability to perform in high-pressure environments.
As a travel nurse, you will take short-term assignments in various locations, bringing your expertise to hospitals and healthcare facilities that need immediate support. This is a unique opportunity to expand your clinical skills while exploring new places and experiencing diverse healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Emergency Medical Care: Assess, triage, and treat patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions in the emergency department.
Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to quickly diagnose, treat, and stabilize patients.
Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely and accurately administer medications, treatments, and interventions as required.
Monitor Patient Status: Continuously monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
Patient and Family Communication: Effectively communicate with patients and their families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and care needs.
Perform Emergency Procedures: Assist with or perform emergency procedures, such as CPR, wound care, intubation, and IV placement.
Maintain Patient Records: Ensure accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and medical histories in compliance with hospital policies.
Adapt to Various Settings: Quickly adapt to different ER environments and hospital systems as you transition between travel assignments.
Job Requirements
Education:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an RN in an Emergency Room setting.
Certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is a plus.
Licensure:
Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of assignment or a compact/multi-state license.
Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability and flexibility to work in various hospital settings.

Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel to different locations for 8- to 13-week assignments.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
